

And now for the final step! Glue the two halves together to complete your kusudama. You’re almost done! If you want, glue a loop of string down the middle of one half so you can hang it up somewhere. If you haven’t already, finishing making the other six flowers and glue them together into their own half-sphere. Crease fold crisply a bone folder works well and saves your fingers if you are making a lot. Fold your paper square diagonally, bringing the bottom point to the top. The six flowers together should sort of resemble half of a sphere. (you can use any size square, but this is the basic sized flower) If you use a 12 x 12, you can maximize your paper use.

Flowers & Stalks: 7.5 x 7.5 cm (or similar). Just like with the individual flowers, make sure you let the glue dry before continuing on. You’re going to do the exact same thing to each square. Measure and cut your paper into 2 inch squares (you need 60 of them to make 12 flowers for the kusudama).
